AGE OR ERA: Authentic, original, true vintage - 1950's to 1960's would be my best estimate
MARKINGS: Each earring back and also the fold over clasp is signed Coro in a script font and there are a few marks that are hard to make out - I believe it may say PAT. PEND.or similar on the back on the heart station by the clasp and on the back of one earring. See pics
METAL / MATERIAL: Early vintage plastic of some sort - lucite thermoset look
CLASP / CLOSURE: Bracelet has a fold over tension held clasp, with original safety chain and the earrings have clip on backs, so most anyone should be able to wear them - pierced ears or not

INTERESTING INFORMATION: Coro (established in 1901) became a leading 20th-century costume jewelry brand and is highly collectible and still sought after and enjoyed today. They began incorporating thermoset plastics, particularly molded Lucite, in the 1940s and 1950s to create vibrant, lightweight, and fun modern designs. These pieces often featuring bold popular "Colors of the Day" and became well-loved for their durability and edgy, artistic aesthetic. Coro thermoset jewelry often included molded flowers, leaves, and abstract shapes. This set is a classic example that embodies all of the above - here is your chance to not only own a piece of jewelry - but also a wearable piece of history.
