HISTORY, PROVENANCE, ANECDOTAL, METAPHYSICAL, SYMBOLISM &/or LORE: The three leaves of a clover are well known to represent faith, hope and love. Only a clover with three leaves can be truly be called a true shamrock (not a four leaf clover). The three leaf clover has long been a part of lore, history, jewelry motifs, and is well known to be the unofficial flower of Ireland.

CONDITION = Great vintage / antique condition, especially given the age - no actual damage to mention - negligible age old flaws on maybe 2 clover stems or so. Some, if not all, irregularities are due to the hand crafted nature as one would expect. Some minor light scratches or very shallow gouges in the flat smooth sterling front panel - nothing out of the ordinary for a piece this old that has been well loved and worn often - see pics. In an excellent state of preservation.

Please view & enlarge photographs to closely inspect fine details and to determine the amount of patina and/or wear. Most older pieces by nature normally have some degree of both and, unless severe, aren't considered damaged and not mentioned. Especially if obvious and/or prominent in the photos. Individuals do have varying levels of desire and tolerance for "vintage charm" so do utilize the scroll arrows beside the photos to allow yourself the opportunity to view them all, as they are an integral part and extension of the description.
